    PowerDVD3 hardware acceleration.

    This is an unusual problem
Using powerdvd with onboard graphics and the hardware acceleration is available with the 810 intel chipset but i can not get it working with the 815 intel chipset ; is there a known problem and hopefully solution for the 815 chipset ( on an asus cusl2)
The box in the config is available to check (not greyed out) but makes no difference .
I have done a search through the forum but could find nothing helpful and have also downloaded the powerdvd 3 updates but still no joy.
    Many thanks in advance .

In what sense does it make no difference?

You might want to try upgrading to the latest PowerDVD 4...

      Thanks for the reply.
Maybe more info from me and i could have made it clearer.
      Using winme.
With the 810 chipset when the hardware acceleration is ticked there is a major improvement in playback , smooth and clear , and cpu utilisation drops from 100%.
With the 815 chipset ticked or un-ticked the cpu utilisation is always at 100% and playback is poor and choppy.
All information suggests the 815 hardware decode is used by powerdvd3 but my experience has yet to show this .
Has anyone any insight , i have looked through the reg settings and could find nothing obvious .
I will try powerdvd4 trial (on dial up probably take many hours ) but powerdvd3 should work
