DVD-R skipping towards the end of the movie

I wonder if any of you guys had this problem
I copy DVDs with IfoEdit and Nero on Pioneer DVR-103.
I playback the movies on Pioneer DV-343.

On some movies however towards the end of it, it would just start skipping or I wouldn't be able to watch the rest of the movie.
I have no clue why it happens.
I've tried to on my friend's Panasonic RV20 and same thing happened.
The whole movie ran perfectly until last 15 minutes of the movie came.

Hope some1 has the answer.

I've got the exact same problem, has anyone got a solution. I have read it may be due to the media used. I am using datasafe classics, white top with purple bottom. They seem fine with PS2 games but they may be no good for movies.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great,

Could be one of many reasons
might be your standalone dvd player dosent play dvd-r discs some are very picky about what media they will play , ive got 2 standalones ones a cyberhome
that plays anything even bulpaq , The other ones an old LG that wont play most dvd-rs , only ones ive got to work in the LG are Whitelabel and E-performance
could also be the software u are using to burn them some players wont play discs recorded with certain software the cyberhome player wont play any discs recorded with nero

so i guess its just trial and error and try and find a way that works for you
