I have a Panasonic DMR-E20 DVD-R/DVD-RAM recorder in the living room entertainment center. Its way cool. I have an IBM DVD-R/DVD-RAM drive in my computer. Somehow, I am not surprised that I cannot take recordings made by the DMR-E20 and simply rip them to my computer drive. That would just be too easy. I've tried several different rippers and none can read the DMR-E20 made movies. Panasonic promises that software is in development but won't come forward with who is doing it and when it will be ready.
Does anybody here know anything about this?
Also, I cannot find any DVD authoring tools that will write to the DVD-RAM cartridge.
