Help - MPEG-1 Sound & Menu but no video

Help greatly appreciated. I have a multimedia CD created using Director 8. It has an MPEG 1 file imported using the DirectMedia V 1.4 Xtra. When the file is played through Director there is a black square where the video is meant to be showing. In the middle of the square is a blue box. The sound works perfectly. My system
is running Windows 98 and Windows Media Player 7.01. Is this be a hardware or software problem and how can it be rectified?
