Will not play back on set top DVD player

I have recently ripped a DVD using DVDdecrypter. I burnt it to DVD using Veritas RecordNowDX. The burnt DVD works fine on my PC if i start it manually, but comes up as disk error on set top DVD player. Can someone tell me what i have done wrong? I am completely new to this.
My burner is a Pioneer AO4

I have the same problem. I can't get my standalone dvd player to read my dvd-r/w burn either... I was able to view it on
powerDVD 4, but my tv dvd player gives "disk error" when trying to read it.

Check out http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers for info on your standalone dvd player. Remember that the newer the dvd player, the more formats it (should) be able to play.
