    DVD Genie and PowerDVD 4 XP

    Using the latest version of DVDGenie (4.1?) I cannot change region codes on PowerDVD 4 XP.

    I insert a different region disc, choose its region in Genie and then run PowerDVD and I'm still asked to choose the region and it says I have 2 changes left.

    Any tips?

      Is your DVD drive RPC1 ? If your drive is region protected (ie RPC2) PowerDVD will let the drive handle the region protection. The region change dialog that pops up let you change the region on your DVD drive (max 5 changes). In that case you need to change the firmware of your DVD drive (if possible) to a RPC1 version (no region protection). When PowerDVD sees the RPC1 drive it will take over the region protection and only then can DVD Genie circumvent the region protection in PowerDVD.
