Very whacky DM086D (v1x20).

I have a CyberDrive DM086D here, I've already applied the firmware patch so I can get multi-region (WinDVD says I have multi-region and so do the checkers I've downloaded) yet whenever I put in one of my American DVDs, it simply doesn't recognize the disc, I can't access the drive. "G:\ is not ready." and all that.

Is there a problem with this drive? Has anyone heard anything? I'd appreciate any information anyone has. Thanks!
