    TMPG ver 2.58 30 day expired and haven't used it yet

    I just downloaded TMPG ver 2.58 three days ago because I was thinking of trying it rather than using ReMPEG. I unzipped it and opened it to take a quick look at it and then this weekend, I was gonna put it to the test. Since then my wife has changed the date on our computer with XP to see what day a particular date would fall on and then changed it back. I do not believe TMPG liked that because now it tells me that my 30 day trial has expired.

    I have done extensive searches on this forum to find a "fix" for this and have tried johnbmx4christ's solution of the regedit notepad, the regcleaner, a couple of the 2.53 & 2.54 cracks, and the datechecker software, all with no success.

    I know that some of you are thinking, "hhmmm, how about...purchasing it...what a thought! "...yes, I have thought of that but I thought the whole idea of this 30 day trial was to test it to see if you like it and if you do, then buy it. My problem is I haven't been able to try it to find out if I like it enough to buy it.

    Any help would be appreciated?

    Thanks,

    Anthony

    You could try one fo the following:

    1) Uninstall TMPGEnc, shut down the machine, restart the machine, reinstall TMPGEnc

    2) Get a new wife (just kidding) ;>}

      Should I use a special program to un-install it because it doesn't install directly into windows. It just resides in wherever you unzip it and runs from there. That is why when you go to add/remove programs, it is not there.

      Get rid of the wife?...well, if that's what it would take...then maybe...

            Install the latest version of Tsunami (v.3.9.6). It contains a registry "hack" that will reset TMPGEnc's time trial period.
