WinDVD 2000 vers. 2.6

I obtained DVD-Rom with WinDVD 2000 v2.6
The DVD inserted is playing but ..... picture is not fast enough and sound not to be understood.
What can I do to optimise this and to use the prog correctly.
Thanks for any assistance.

Turn on your DVD drive's DMA...
