Need good DVD software to run on slow laptop

Got a Pentium II 266MHZ laptop with DVD that needs software to play DVD's on. Any suggestions on good software to run on this laptop would be great. I found software but require a 350MHZ or better to run.

Try the freebie DVDPLAY.EXE, hidden on the Win98 installation disk. In addition to that program, you'll have to install IVIAUDIO.AX and IVIVIDEO.AX or similar drivers...

      Need help with DVD software

I have a 16x pioneer dvd drive using powerdvd as the software. The video card i am using is a Nvidia Geoforce 2 MX/MX400. The problem is whenever I play a DVD it plays extremely choppy. I don't know if I need to reconfigure something or if my DVD player just needs cleaning. If anyone can help I would appreciate it greatly.

You could try reducing the screen area to 640x480 and colour depth to 16 bit, as well as turning off all non-essential applications.
