    Newbie (so new the paint is still wet )needs help please

    Hi Im new here so could someone please help me i have a Pioneer DVR 104 dvd writer i managed to backup a film using DVDXCOPY it plays ok on a standalone DVD player and the PC but it wont play on the kids playstation 2 any ideas what i did wrong and any pointers to how to correct it thank you for your patience

    Based on these results, you've done nothing wrong. You've undoubtedly run into a limitation of the game machine's inability to read burned (as opposed to COMMERCIAL) DVDs...

        Thank you i did check doom9 but maybe im too tired lol i cant see it i will recheck in the morning as its midnight here

          Its in the forum....do a search. Most people have success with IFOEDIT.

            try using a different brand of dvd-r
            p.s did you get the firmware update for that burner.. I got an email about a week after buying one telling me that some dvd-r's may actual damage the drive without the update.
            if not you can get it

              i would have to agree with webgenious, try using a different dvdr, what brand are u using now
