Who can recommend a software?

I'm urgent to get a DVD playing software and a DVD converting software. But I can't decide which is worth buying. Who can recommend them? Thanks!

Need help with my DVD software

I have a 16x pioneer dvd drive using powerdvd as the software. The video card i am using is a Nvidia Geoforce 2 MX/MX400. The problem is whenever I play a DVD it plays extremely choppy. I don't know if I need to reconfigure something or if my DVD player just needs cleaning. If anyone can help I would appreciate it greatly.

There is "free dvd playing software" available do a search on google.com and look around doom9. I believe the microdvd player is free and handles dvd's.

For a commercial player, I like PowerDVD.
