    SPDIF to Speakers

I have a SBLive! 5.1 DE soundcard and a Cambridge Soundworks DTT2500 speaker system. I have disabled the soundcard from doing Dolby Digital decoding so that the S/PDIF signal can be passed via the soundcard to to the speaker system for decoding.
But the problem is that when I go into the PowerDVDxp 4.0 configuration to enable SPDIF-out (under the "Audio" tab), the option to use the SPDIF-out is not in the menu. The only options are 2,4 and 6 speaker setup. Under the "Information" tab there are two things written that worry me:
Multispeakers Audio Device : Creative SB Live! (not in use)
SPDIF Output Device : Creative SB Live! (not in use)

When I try play a DVD from PowerDVD the Dolby Digital LED does not light up on the speaker system. The speaker system's AC3 decoding DOES work, I have tested it with a standalone DVD Player.

Also in the SBLive! software there is a program called "Dolby Digital AC3 Demo". This program should pass the S/PDIF signal to the speaker system (it has worked before - I was using WinME when it worked but I have sinced moved to Win98) but it does not and the Dolby Digital LED does not light up.

Please help me sort out this irritating problem.
