I use Adobe Premiere 6.0 to make my movies. Then I would like to put them on CD to play in a DVD player,, I guess I would use Nero or something like it,, I thought CD squeeze allows you to burn CD's ... I will have to look at this again! Do you know of any other software that does it all?Comment

If what i understand from your writing, then you want to convert a regular .avi movie file to a VideoCD so you can play it on your dvd player. TO do this: Get TMPGenc and convert your avi file to NTSC VCD (im assuming youre in North America). THen, when it finishes, itll usually take a few hours depending on the movie size, open up NERO Burning Rom and select "VCD" , select the .mpg file that TMPGenc converted for you and select it, then BURNDid you know you can SEARCH the forum? gm_nimrod,,
Thanks man yes you got it the first time! Thanks for the info I will try this tonight, I think Nero is the best burnning software out there right now I have down loaded a few different ones and they just dont seem to burn everything?....
Have you burnned a Movie on CDR to test it in a DVD player before? If this works this will be the coolest thing.!
The TMPGenc is a plugin for nero I guess,, right?Comment

Yea Nero is deffinatly the best Burning program for vcds. if you have a newer dvd player it will most likely read the vcd burned on a cdr. The way you can tell if it will before you fool with burning a vcd is by trying to play a music cd that you burned on your computer. if it works then you shouldbe able to play vcd. TMPGEnc is not a plug in it is a completly different program for converting various video types to Mpeg 1 (vcd) or Mpeg 2( svcd).Comment

Some (older) dvd players dont play vcd though, so if at first it doesnt work, tell us on the forum and check your dvd manual to see if it says anything about vcd/svcd playback.Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

My DVD Player plays MP3's so yes it will work is there anything else that I should install in nero before I try this?Comment

I think you misunderstood...TMPGenc is NOT something you install in NERo. TMPGenc is a program for converting .avi movies into mpeg-1 (vcd) and mpeg-2 (svcd). Make sure to download TMPGenc, then install (just unzip) the file into a folder, the select the video file that you want to convert and set it to NTSC VCD. When its done converting (will take a while) open nero, select "video cd" and select the file that you converted which will have an ".mpg" extension.Did you know you can SEARCH the forum?
