    There is a way but it means reencoding the movie with the subtitles "Burned" in.

    you need both VirtualDub, VobSub, and TMPEnc.

    VirtualDub: http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/do...irtualdub.html
    VobSDub: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/vobsub.html
    TMPEnc: http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/do...s/tmpgenc.html

    You install all the programs, and in VirtualDubs Directory you run the file "Auxsetup.exe" and press "Instal handler"
    When you install VobSub make sure that under plugins TextSub for VirtualDub is checked.

    Download a subtitle file to the movie (www.divxsubtitles.net) and then open the file in VirtualDub, and choose TextSub and open the subtitle file, you choose which size you want on it and which font.

    Then you choose "File-->Start Frameserver" and on the first screen press "Start" on the first screen, on the next you choose the place where you want to place your server file, name it "somthing.VDR" the VDR is importent otherwise TMEnc will not recognize the file.

    Open TMPEnc, choose the VCD template you need, and then open the file press Ok wait 3-20 hours depending on your machine and burn it. And Wusssh you have a VCD with Subtiles.

      Open a Subtitle

      I can't open a subtitle file in the vobsub (inside the Virtual Dub).
      I select open, then the file and when I press ok it returns to the Vobsub screen but doesnt load the file, so the ok button keeps disabled. Do you know what am I doing wrong?

      Thank you

        you have to convert the subtitle to .ssa (sub station alpha) format (subtitle workshop is goos for that, subrip also can save to ssa)
        Then you can use subtitle plug-in for virtualdub (you can find it on their webpage

            When you open the VDR file TMPGEnc (or whatever U R using) should open the sound from it as well, like it would an AVI file

            It is probably because the Audio is in AC3 which VirtualDub cannot Decode.

            U will have to decode it with another program like Besweet

            Firstly extract it from the AVI file

            "Audio-->Direct stream copy"

            Then "File-->Save Wave"

            Save it as "something.AC3"

            use Besweet to convert it to MP3 or Wav and open the new sound file in whatever program U R using
