I have the following problem when I try to play a dvd-movie from the hard disk:
1. I first rip the movie to my hard-disk using DVDDECRYPTER 3.
2. I use the power-dvd option "open DVD file on a hard disk drive" and when I open the IFO file I want to play, nothing happens!!!
(The name of the IFO file is vts_01_0.IFO)
If I use the option "Open media files" and select the VOBs of the movie, they play normally.
If I rename the IFO file to VIDEO_TS.IFO the movie begins to play but before anything happens an error message appears saying "wrong format".This is something normal since I renamed the IFO file and it is no longer connected with the VOB files.The same thing happens if I rename all the VOB files to like the IFO file.
I did that because I read at the documentation of the Power-Dvd Xp that the IFO that I want to play from HD sould be the Video_TS.IFO
Is this a problem of Power-dvd or am I doing something wrong;
How can I solve this problem;
I thought of a solution : To use a program to rip the VOBs to my hard disk which has the option to let YOU select the name of the output file (like smartripper).
Do you think this will work;
