I'm using latest version of intervideo Windvd Platinum and i have this problem:
- if i use full software video decoding, i get a perfect video playback (with a stunning image quality), but sound is too weak. Even if i raise the volume, sound effects are sort of "compressed"
- if i chose to enable hardware decoding capabilities i get a stunning sound (high dynamic and very crisp and clear reproduction), but video isn't as good; it seems like it's skipping some frames because the GPU is sort of overloaded.
What seems strange to me is that Hardware decoding shouldn't affect the audio but only the video. What's wrong ? or else how can i get the superb audio decoding using the full SW video decoding ?
thanks
sys config:
T-Bird 1,2 GHz
512 Mb ram
Geforce 2 Mx 32 Mb
Creative PCI 128 sound card
Windows XP SP1
Windvd Platinum 4.5
