divx DVD

Yes, divx.com have the news about a manufacturer called Kiss Technology who have released a divx dvd player. But the Xcard from Sigma Designs is looking quite good to me at the moment.

This does not appear to be an item for a standalone DVD player...

setarip you are correct the xcard is for pc, i am tossing up whether to get one or not. But Kiss Technology have allegedly released a divx (stand alone) dvd player. I read on their website that it will play divx v4 and v5, but will not play divx5pro encoded movies that contain GMC and/or quarter pixel.

i think you'l see you get the same problem with the XCard because its the XCard's chip used in the Kiss's player.



I'm not sure tough they might have updatet their drivers so it works.
