Sony CRX8
Does anyone know anything about the Sony CRX8 CD-RW/DVD ROM drive? I bought a Dell recently and it has this drive. It's not listed on the Sony support page. This drive is hardware protected so that it is region protected. I tried the Toshiba and Richo region change programs. The Tohsiba one says the drive does not exist. The Richo program says that ASPI for Windows is not yet installed. Can anyone explain what this means or provide any other information regarding firmware updates for this drve so that I can make it region free? Thanks.
