Is there a software program that would allow me to rip the audio out of digital movies and convert it to .wav or .mp3? Any help would be much appreciated.

if you're referring to DVDs, you would first have to "rip" (eliminate copy protection and then copy) ALL of the DVD files (.IFOs, .BUPs and finally, the .VOBS,which are video and audio multiplexed) to your hard drive. You could then use VOB2AUDIO or Mediator to extract and convert the audio in the manner and formats you've described.
Let us know of your success ;>}Comment

Thanks a lot. Virtualdub is working great. Some of my videos aren't in the right format. What software do I need to convert these videos.Comment

Try using NanDub, a modified version of VirtualDub that will allow you to play/rip some formats that Vdub doesn't. Also, Sonic Wave will let you extract the audio from numerous formats of video.Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:
