PowerDVD surround sound problems

Hi everybody,

did anyone else experience problems with the surround sound of Power DVD. It works, BUT, there is always an annoying background noise.

This does not happen when I play games (e.g.
Gothic 2) with surround sound - the 5.1 speakers are OK, and the surround sound test
of the sound chip works fine as well ...

Have you considered that the background noise may be from the DVD itself?

Try to use different enviroment settings. It's in advanced audio configuration tab, I'm using quiet enviroment, with noisy enviroment i can sometimes hear such noise as you are talking about.
