Easy To Use Screen Capture for VOB's and AVI's???

I have been using two different applications to produce screenshots: VirtualDub with AVI files and PowerDVD with VOB files.

I like having the ability to clip frames in VirtualDub however there is no such capability in PowerDVD.

    So, here is my question:

Is there any application out there that would allow me to preserve the still picture quality that can be produced from VOB files while somehow clipping the frames so that I can save myself time and effort?

I am looking for an application that would essentially simplify the process of creating BMP files hassle-free.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Use WinDVD - press the "p" key to capture a screenshot from DVDs/.VOBs...

Or use VirtualDubMPG2 (and, probably, VirtualDubMod)...
