    Choppy Playback on standalone

I know this topic has been hammered but i have been looking for a solution for the past 18 hours straight

I have an LG DV4721P standalone

Copied dvd-5 (mallrats) using dvdxcopy then edited out the copyright info using ifo edit

also copied using dvddecryptor (iso method)

both copies work fine on pc dvd player (windvd)

both copies play in standalone but pause for around 2-8 seconds every 5-10 seconds of the movie

im using verbaitim dvd-rw's which are supported by my standalone

    many thanks in advance

Actually, even though your PC plays the movies perfect, and your dvd supports verbatim dvd-r's, it might still be a problem with the disc, or the dvd reading lense. Have the dvd player cleaned.

      DVDR playback on LGDV4721P

From your post, it sounds as though you have DVDR playback on your LG DVD.

      Is that right?

How did you accomplish that? Whenever I place a DVDR in my machine, it displays "Check Disc".

It has been hacked to be region free, but I cannot find anything on DVDR use and this model.

      Let me know.
