Idiot needs help

I have a hp 8275 running windows 98. The computer had the Kleze32 virus that corruptedsome of the programs including HP record now and the DVDSoft program. I was able to download the dirvers for the burner and cannot find anything to fix the software for the DVD player. ( I get a message that the software is not configured or my computer). Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to go out and buy new software. If the latter is the case what is the best software to purchase. Thanks GR

If you have the DVDSoft program on a cd, you can format your hard drive, reinstall windows, and install the program again. Its tedious, but better than buying another program.
