    Powerdvd XP on WinXP/SBLive!

    I have been having trouble with my SBLive! 1024 sound card and Windows XP. Since a driver update for the sound card I cannot use 4-speaker support despite the setting being enabled in AudioHQ (more specifically, I can only select 2-speaker or SPDIF whereas before I could choose 4-speaker). Could anybody enlighten me with anything I need to do or update to get 4-speaker sound working!? I've just gotten the extended LOTR and want to watch it properly!!!

    Many thanks in advance.

    you could roll back the driver that worked in the device manager.

      Thanks for the reply. Have got it working now. Simply set it to use Directsound3d with 2-speakers on PowerDVD and with AudioHQ set to 4-speaker and the Windows multimedia speaker setting on 4-speaker ... makes no sense but it works!

      Cheers;
