    Run time vs. size

Wondering if run time of a movie is related to size...I used IFOEdit to create a back-up of a film with a run time of 112 min...finished size was about 3.86...no problem to 1 DVD-R...Then ran IFOEditfor a film with a run time of 118 mins and ended up with a finished size of 6.8.....this was sfter stripping out everything....What's the deal?
    Thanks

File size is obviously directly related to the run time, however several factors can increase/decrease the size. Make sure that you used the same video bitrate when encoding the file, and certain codecs might take up more kb/s than another codec.
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

Both Films were ripped on DVD Decrypter using the IFO system..both were stripped with IFOEDIT..no changes made between the 2...is there any way that interlacing could have an effect....also I noticed that the VOB IDs ran from 1 through 18...that's fairly unusual for any film. Itried using only the first 10 IDs but...duhh only got half the film. I just really curious about this whole thing.
