AVI Playback- PLEASE HELP

I have downloaded movies from eDonkey and most of them work perfectly. I have a couple of movies that I am having problems with. (avi)

It looks like the scenes are being combined or overlapped into each other. Everything is fine untill the actors start moving around or the scene changes.

I have tried the following players but they all do the same thing:
Power DVD
WinDVD
Windows Media Player
Divx Player

I have also installed the latest Nimo pack but nothing seems to work.

Sound is fine.

Operating system is Windows XP Professional

Is there any way to fix this?

I apologize for the reference that was made. I have read many posts that refer to kazaa so I did not think it was a big deal.
