    no audio

i had wanted to get the hauntingly beautiful and serene song that played on an episode of "from the earth to the moon" - episode 5. (the one that shows the engineers building the lunar module)

frustratingly, it was not in mp3 on napster(waaaay back when it was still widely used), nor could i buy it legitimately from the earth to the moon music cd, since they choose NOT to put the best song there.

finally my friend got me an avi file of that episode. i thought i could record it. but when i played it, only the video portion played. obviously, the codec for the audio was not working.

i used gspot on it to try and find out what the problem was but all it could tell me was : audio was screwed up.

so, can anyone tell me how to play the audio on this file?

Looking at VDub file info and GSpot on the middle right culumn it said 5 chanels (Vdub) and AC3 on gspot and right below also report that your codec(filter/driver) is not install, this was encoded with AC3 - 5 chanels dolbe suround sound.
I think you need to downoad the AC3 filter/codec and install it then you should be able to hear the sound. But there is another issue, I don't know if you laptop can handle (powerful enough) that kind of processing, hope that 'll help . good luck
