installed nimo codec, no dvd player wont play

I recently installed the nimo codecs package to play my divxs, but i noticed whenever i install the codec package, my laptop gets errors when attepting to play regular DVDs. I dont know what to do. My laptop is a brand new Toshiba satellite 2435-s255. I'm running windows xp.

I also tried intallin other codec packages like ACE PlayerXp Codec package, but the same problem results. My DVD player (also my CDRW) can't read/play the dvd (it cant even read my cdrw's).

The only way i can get things working again is to restore my whole computer. Simply removing the program will not allow my DVD/CRDW to function correctly.

If there's is a way to install codec packages and not mess up my dvd playing capabilites, please respond.

I would uninstall and restore to a previous point then Install Tsuanmi 3.9.9 found at my website (either of them) below.

Also what player are your using for your DVD playback?

...after installing the nimo codec package, i tried using Windows Media Player 9.... InterVideo WinDVD 4.... RealOne... all ened up with some sort of error.....(oh, and thanks for such a speedy reply).... does Tsunami program you suggest need any tweaking before allowing me to watch divxs and play dvds?? Do you know what the problem was in my situation?

As for the problem it could be many things such as Nimo messing with the DVD Decoder etc. but no Tsuanmi works straight without anything.

When you install choose Custom installation and leave it alone and just click next
