no video pic on tv through tv-out

Hi great forum so far. Hope you can help
I have gforce4 64mb onboard card with tv out. 512 ram 2.0 ghz
when playing back VOB AVI it wont view on my tv
the rest of the desktop etc does just a black window in the player.
I use windows media, power dvd, divx pro
nothing will so it up.
mind you I have some mpgs music vids from the net they view ok
I guess it might be the codec.
I have divx pro 5- tried nimos too no luck

First get rid of Nimo and get Tsuanmi 3.9.9 from my site in my signature.

Then try TV Tool for playing on your TV.

Make sure your TV is on then restart. Also disable Twin View if it is enabled

NView display mode - clone
Overlay Controls - Full Screen Device - 2nd monotor

However, TVTool does it better, but it's shareware

I installed the new codec
and did the overlay options ,with the overlay on secondary it views the vobs and mpgs to tv ,cool, when you disable it fullscreen on overlay options it doesnt view either fullscreen or windowed. at least its fullscreen on overlay options

I d/l tvtool it wont work with my gforce intergrated nv17 card its unable to detect which tv chip it has.

any ideas or another prog
