Working with VOB files

I'm hoping someone can help me.
I'm trying to edit some VOB files and I tried the following :
Chopper XP
DVD2AVI hdtv
DVD2AVI gloval
VOB Splitter 2.6
VOB Splitter (different)

None of them worked. In fact they all freeze up or crash.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a program out there that works 100% of the time?

win 20000
dual PIII/866
1 GB ram

Try MPEGCutter v.1.05 (MPEG2CUT.EXE)...

Where can I find the program yu mentioned. I've looked all over digital digest dowload area and can't find it.
