    PC DVD playback resolution problem

I have just brought a brand new P4 desktop. It has a Sony DVD rom, PowerDVD, 17 inch LCD screen and a 64 Meg GE Force MX video. Now I have a nice home theatre system with a 43inch TV etc, but want to occasionally watch DVDs on the desktop. I find the resolution poor thought when I go to full screen mode. It becomes very pixilated (?the right word for what I am seeing). I have the LCD screen resolution set to max as per the instruction for this. Is this resolution normal? If not has anybody any ideas what I should do to fix it?
    Thanks

You haven't stated what "this resolution" is - Probably 1280x1024.

Try setting it to 1024x768 or 800x600...

Thanks-will try that. It is set to the highest resolution so I will try decreasing it and see if it works.
