Really bad Playback probs, but why?

    Hey ppl.

I am having a really bad time with my DVD playback quality on my Pioneer 16x DVD-Rom. To put it nicely the quality is very bad, it is very Grainy, and the picture is not at all sharp or clear, and I would really prefer to watch VHS at times

    My PC is a:

    PIII 933
    396mb Ram
    Ge-Force 3 64mb
    Windows Xp Pro

I have been using PowerDVD xp, and Win DVD 3.0, but with no luck.

I have updated all my drivers (Video/DX ect.) and have played with ALL the settings in the software decoders I use, but nothing is working! I have DMA turned on, and have been trying every fix I can find on the net but with no luck!! Some people I know with lower PC specs than me have very good DVD playback, so what could be the problem?

There must be something wrong, I really dont like watching dvd’s at all with such a bad playback quality, so I don’t want to waste my money!

Audio wise the playback is great!

So any help, ANY, no matter how little would be great!! If you need any more info just ask

    thx
Working...
