    Region 2 DVD stutter

    Hi

I have tried using dvd region free, dvd idle pro, region kill and dvd genie as means to play region 2 dvds on my computer. I have already updated my dvd's firmware to the latest available. The region 2 dvds play, but about 10 minutes into the movie it stutters and the movie video and audio becomes either really choppy and or really slow. I tried going forward to other chapters and it is the same. This occurred on several different region 2 dvds. These dvds are brand new and have no scratches or anything like that on them. When I play region 1 DVDs this doesnt happen... Does anyone know how to fix this? It would be greatly appreciated.

What happens when you play on a standalone dvd player?

      Very strange.

i can think of a few things.

      1. Your DVD player on PC.....is it a demo/shareware or a full registered version?

      2. DMA on your IDE controller enabled?

      3. Cleanboot of PC to free up some resoures?
