Playback with Green dots/lines and somtimes stuck....

    Playback with Green dots/lines and somtimes stuck....

    I have powerDVD 4.0 on w2k and when I'm playing a movie it shows a bit of green dots and lines, but not all the time, the playback is pritty smoth but with all that green and also, the movies are stuck from time to time....
    What could be the problem?

    Edit:

    When I say stuck, I mean tottaly stuck!! my computer frezzes and I have to reset it....

      Try cleaning your DVDs and/or running a DVD/CD cleaning disk on your DVD ROM/burner. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10US...

          Not that I think you're wrong but it's defenitly looks like a hardwer problem(the DVD it self) or a software problem, which I can't think of any....

              Do you really think I would have posted that suggestion if I DIDN'T think it could possibly resolve your problem?
