Hi,
I wanna know if it's possible to create a cdr or cdrw which contains mpeg2 files for playback on a standalone dvd player?
I did some digital video editing using a camcorder, transferred as an AVI, encoded using TMPG Encoder to Mpeg2 dvd standard. I then used TMPG Dvd author created the iFO,VOB files and appropriate folders. Burnt to a CD-RW, using the UDF file structure and Nero detected it as dvd video.
Used PowerDvd to test and it worked perfectly. It detected it as a dvd disc. However it wouldn't work on the standalone dvd player.
Anyone have any ideas? Reason I'm doing this that the SVCD video and sound quality is very poor compared to the original dv and dont have the cash for dvd burner .
I also have another question, I tried encoding the AVI as an Mpeg 2 dvd pal and low resolution (not svcd mpeg2 standard) using TMPG, I burnt the file into SVCD using Nero. Played on the standalone and the video stutters and jerks like crazy. Anyone know why? Is there anyway of making it run smoothly using SVCD format?
What would be the best to create a high quality mpeg2 and have them run on a standalone dvd player?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
