    Jetaudio and DVD-playing

    Hi !

I´ve got Jetaudio v5.1.6.2618 basic and I want to play DVDs. In the forum of Jetaudio (www.jetaudio.com) You can find that You need a DVD decoder compatible with directx.
I also have WinDVD XP Pro 3.1.
So now I would like to know how to use the codec of WinDVD for Jetaudio to play DVDs or where to get an alternative decoder and how to use it.
    My system is WinXP.

    Thanks a lot,
    xandl

Use DVD Genie to "register Win DVD's codecs to Windows", then reboot...

Problem with DVD Genie and WinDVD

      Hi !

      Thank You for helping.
I´ve the problem that DVD Genie 4.10 doesn´t find my WinDVD (It´s a bought version of WinDVD XP Pro v3.1).
I´ve also tried to install it to the standard directory (c:\programme\intervideo\windvd\ ), nothing happened.

      Thank You for answering,
      xandl

That's remarkable. I did a search for the version you stated because I'd never heard of it ("Win DVD XP Pro") - and lo and behold it's a different software DVD player than the well-known WinDVD by InterVideo!

"Sybex Win DVD XP pro in the price comparison

Description: Software DVD Player, condition for system: Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP
        (fig. similarly)
        Manufacturer : Sybex publishing house"

That's why DVD Genie wasn't able to accomplish anything for you.

        Sorry...

          It is from Intervideo !

          Hi again!

My WinDVD XP Pro v3.1 is made by InterVideo and distributed by Sybex.
That´s probably why ZoomPlayer doesn´t have any problems to use the filters of InterVideo.

          Thanks,
          xandl
