Mysterious TV-playback ???

I have a rather strange problem with PowerDVD 5(and 4 XP).
I have a Nvidia card (Gainward TI-4800 SE) with TV-out and I use this to see movies on my TV... so far everything normal and ok, but I can only look at Avi's and Divx, xvid's etc. If I try to play mpeg's (1 and 2) I only get a black screen (on my TV), power dvd works fine on the computerscreen, shows every kind of moviefiles...

Perheps this problem isn't really powerdvd but something with my TV-out or something?

I tried powerdvd 4 and 5 but the same problem, Windvd 5 didn't play any file on the TV..

I "strech" my desktop to the TV if I use "clone" I can't get the hole desktop on the TV

I have a XP2400+
768 DDR
250 Gb
Running Win XP home
Nvidia driver 44.03

Anyone who have experienced something like this before or know what to do?

Did jou set the tv as primary screen, so that jou got the black movie screen on your computer screen and on the tv the screen will play as normal i had the same problem. and finaly i foud out that it was that.
