Nero finish problem

Nero 6 problem! The program hangs upp in the end of Current Burning Process. Elapsed time continues over the estimated time and "Current Action:"Writing tracks" hungs up and I have to shut down the computer. I have asked Ahead for several times, without answer! I have got an error file with this message"1000 Text 0 File Mmc.cpp, Line 20211
Queue-Again-Later on FlushSectorCache"

Yeh - there are tons of problems with nero 6 I have seen 2day personally and on forums and emails to me as well

dont use nero 6 - imo - its still a BETA or BUGGY version

wait for nero 6.0.0.5 to come out (in about the next month or less)

use nero 5 for now

Did these problems happen with nero 5?

Try using the primary NERO program (NOT the "Express" mode) - select the "DVD-Video" mode - Place ALL DVD-related files (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) into the "VIDEO_TS" folder...

My Q is this: If you only have 1 file (ie. a SVCD.mpeg file) does the
above rule still apply, meaning can I put this file into the VIDEO_TS folder and burn it to DVD+R without further ado ?

no you cant.

U have to author this using TMPGEnc DVD author. Then it will create compliant files to fit for your DVD compilation which you can burn as a DVD format

Isn't it possible to copy a SVCD-movie from a CD-RW (that plays
in my DVD player ie. it works ) to a DVD+R ?
I am asking because I want to store more than one movie onto
1 DVD disc to save space.
If it is Possible then there must be a way to skip the "burning
it to CD-RW first" and "Pack" eg. 3 full length movies onto a DVD+R right

Yes it is Just copy the file (.dat file) to the HDD and encode to DVD using TMPGEnc using the correct region

I have never seen that option! If you mean that you cant burn to a DVD R then you have to select the DVD Writer drive in nero from choose recorder but make sure you author the movie first using something like TMPGEnc DVD Author.

Just copy the file (.dat file) to the HDD and encode to DVD

Does this mean that even if the CD-R is playable in my Standalone
it is NOT possible to just burn it onto a DVD+R without first re encoding it ?

no no - not stupid at all we all learn from somewhere

No - you cannot just burn it like that so it plays on a Standalone DVD player - however if you do wish to play it on the PC and NOT the standalone DVD player then yes you can burn it but only as data CD.


I am not aware of such way to make SVCD movies play on a DVD R

thanks for you help and time techno. I now understand why I
have failed all this thime. It is , simply put, not possible to copy
an SVCD.mpeg movie from a CD-R (that plays in my standalone)
to a DVD+R disc, by just "cloning it" 1:1.
To me that just sounded strange since it's just "zeros and ones"
but then I am nowhere near technichally educated and knows
far too little about the digital world. I'll encode it with TMPGEnc
and burn it as DVD using NERO. It seems to be what everyone
does (hehe nearly) on this forum ....
