    Help BURNING WITH NERO 6.0.0.11

Hi, I'm a first time dvd burner. I've used dvdshrink to reduce a complete dvd down to 4.2gb. Everything is ok, it plays in PowerDVD ok, all the chapters work fine. But when l try and play it back after burning it with Nero l get the error code 81200016 and
This DVD title's file format is invalid.
l've tried -R and +R disks both give the same message.

Which mode did you use in NERO?

Exactly what procedures did you use?

Have you tried to playback the burned DVD on a standalone DVD player?

Is your media DVD+R or DVD-R?

Are you playing back the burned DVD from your burner, or from a DVD ROM (DVD player)?

      nero burn

Hi, Mode and procedures l dont understand
After l dvdshrunk the film l moved all the files to the VIDEO_TS folder in NERO and burned them.
l have tried the burned dvd-r and dvd+r disks in the original burner, in a dvd-rom and in a stand alone.
The burner and dvd-rom came back with the error message
the stand alone would not run either disk
I have tried running at a lower speed
Before l burned the files l tested the in PowerDVD and it worked.
      I used Nero Burning ROM

Be good enough to list ALL of the files (and their filesizes) as they appear on the burned DVD?

Sorry about the messy message but it looked fine when l wrote it.
Each line contains two KB sizes the first is the size on the burned disk after DVDShrink.
The second is the size on the original disk Final Destination 1
My first time burning dvd,s and in a forum.

If, in fact, you've posted the following filenames in their entirety, you've somehow managed to eliminate their ".IFO" extenders (and I have no idea how you could have "accomplished" this!), which are critical:

              VIDEO_TS 18 KB 18 KB
              VTS_01_0 68 KB 68 KB
              VTS_02_0 60 KB 60 KB
              VTS_03_0 12 KB 12 KB

              SHOULD BE

              VIDEO_TS.IFO 18 KB 18 KB
              VTS_01_0.IFO 68 KB 68 KB
              VTS_02_0.IFO 60 KB 60 KB
              VTS_03_0.IFO 12 KB 12 KB

                Same here

I'm getting the same error message, can you please let me know how to solve this issue. By default i belive that the dvd shrinks takes away the .ifo ext. only the .bup files contains their extensions, the .ifo and the .vob file extensions do not show up. when i look into the properties the extension does show up, is this the only issue. please let me know

Change your Windows setting to "Show all extensions"

                    Hi,

I'm getting the same error when I play a copied DVD on some DVD drives. (It works on the same DVD drive that was used to make the copy.)

                    Error code: 81200016.
This DVD title's file format is invalid.

The problem seems to be that some of the files become smaller than the original ones during the copying process.

                    It's a Samsung BG69-00359A +-R/RW drive.
I'm using the InterVideo DVDCopy to make a copy of the DVD...

                    Hope this is enough information...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I am a newby if it comes to dvd burning. I also have nero 6.0.0.11. I want to burn a dvd but when i start nero i do not see the option dvd at all. I only see: Cd-rom, audio etc. I do see mini DVD.

Do i need a newer version or could it be that my dvd burner is not proper installed?

                          To dreamin

See the little box in the upper left that says "CD"? Click on the downarrow at the right side of that box and select "DVD"...
