Hey I dont know where to start other than it seems in the last few days everything I dl when played back is sooo choppy and skips around. It does it on wmp 9, realplayer, thru kazaa player, everything. I know these files are good files because several was playing fine the day before! What could have happened between then and now? Is there a way to figure it out? Can my registry be screwed up? Hell, I dont know what to do....any suggestions?

WTF? WMP 9 and RealPlayer? I strongly suggest you go reformat your computer...
With WMP 9 in your system, your computer's doomed anyway
Anyway, try to install FFDShow and set it to playback all popular formats (Xvid, Divx). -
