    Runs fine on my player ... problems on another one

    I usually burn my DVDs with Nero in the UDF/ISO Mode, as it's supposed to be 'more compatible'.

    I got a new Philips DVD Player and all movies played without any problems so far.

    My girlfriend got an old Philips DVD Player and the movies often play there. But there are still some problems sometimes: Some movies stop after 10 minutes or so.. others play but after stopping and resuming they won't start again, as if the player couldn't find the track where to resume. Could it be that the DVD player is just too old (the originals still play fine)?

    I am using Verbatim +R and as I said they play 100% in the new player.

    Thanks!

    The older player may simply be more "finicky" about its willingness to read BURNED DVDs (as opposed to commercial DVDs.

    Be a nice guy and get your girlfriend a new player - or give her the original DVDs ;>}
