Playback skips and hesitates

Purchased new DVD player. Using Windvd Pro latest version on an AMD700 mhz w/256 SDRAM. I have done all the advise I can find on web ie DMA enabled, DVD jumpers to master, no other programs running...
I de-sellect most everything not needed in msconfig, still video hesitates during playback.
Anybody got an Idea. DVD is a "Cyberdrive" brand.

Maybe your Video card has got something to do with it.
try downloading the latest drivers
