WinDVD: How to play DVD from hard disk?

I'd like to store a complete DVD to my hard disk and then play it in WinDVD. The only way I've been able to get this to work is to store it as an .ISO and mount it in a virtual drive using Daemon Tools. Is there a better way, i.e. is there any format that I could store the *complete* DVD on my hard disk that will be recognized by WinDVD?

    TIA!

Place all of the DVD-related files (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) into a folder named VIDEO_TS (MUST be all capitals) on your hard drive...
