Installed new DVD player from "Cyberdrive" on AMD 700 w/256 SDRAM. I have already enabled DMA and shutdown running programs. Using Windvd 3.0 for viewer. 600x800 screen and still can't get to play without hesitation.
Help!
Don't worry, I have a 1.5 Ghz P4, 256 mb, a Toshiba DVD drive, a Sound Blaster Live! Value and a 64 mb GeForce 2 MX card and I can't get DVDs (29.970 fps DVDs) to playback properly either (and yes, I have DMA on, Intel's motherboard drivers, Directx 8.1 and I have done all the recommended things). If you find out what's wrong in your case, please post it.
Well, I found out what MY problem was! The only thing I haven't upgraded in a long time (almost ten years, I think) is my monitor... well, with my monitor I can't use more than a 60 Hz refresh rate, and that's my problem, because I tried my PC with a friend's monitor at 120 Hz and my 29.970 fps DVDs played perfectly!
