Prior to my system reformat, WinDVD 4 worked fine. I did a clean install of XP and put all my software back on, including the latest audio drivers for the TB Santa Cruz. Now when I play a DVD in WinDVD 4, I get no sound when the S/PDIF Digital out is selected. I get sound if I choose 4 speaker Analog out.
If I play a DVD in Media Player 8, my Dolby Digital output works 100%. Also, if I play an audio CD in WinDVD 4, I get Dolby sound. It only does not work when I play a DVD, and as I mentioned, it worked fine with the same drivers prior to the format.
I tried WinDVD 5, but no luck. How can I get WinDVD 4 to once again provide Digital output?
