    WinDVD Chapter Speed up Issus

    Hello everyone.

Im currently using WinDVD 5 Platnium and I am having a annoying issue.

DVD playback is fine. But when the DVD goes to the next Chapter of the movie, there is a speed up for about a second, then it goes back to normal. It is really a nuience.

    Any thoughts?

Hi! I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM... It's a drag. The funny thing is that it doesn't happen with all DVDs I play, and sometimes, the same DVD has this issue in certain chapter transitions. Also, I've noticed that when you press "Page Down" to go to the next chapter, the video slows down a bit and then plays normal, I don't remember this thing happening with earlier versions of WinDVD. I've reinstalled older video card drivers, and uninstalled a couple of codecs, but nothing happened... If anyone has the solution, PLEASE POST IT. This thing actually IS very annoying... Thanks!

So, has anybody found a solution? This WinDVD problem is really bothering... I tried reinstalling the program, and changing the video card drivers, but nothing happened. Unfortunately, the only program that gives me a satisfactory 29.970 fps DVD playback is WinDVD Platinum with its progressive mode (PowerDVD doesn't work that well with that kind of DVDs...). So, if anyone has a solution or a suggestion, please post it here, thanks!

            Hi guys,
Just letting you know I fixed my problem by getting the latest version of intervideos site. Tech support emailed me back telling me to do so, and what do you know, it has no more problems and loads quicker for me.

The latest version I downloaded last night for Intervideo WinDVD Creator Platinum 2 is:

              2.0B014.214C00

Is this the same version you guys have? Since Intervideo doesn't have an "updates and patches" page on their site, I just re-downloaded the trial version. My speed-up issue was at the very end of the last clip.

              Strange.
