I ripped a commercial 5 GB DVD with SmartRipper then burned an ISO image on my hard drive with NERO. I then mounted the image with DAEMON TOOLS and played it from my hard drive. Video and audio were both beautiful. I then burned a DVD and played it in my settop. It seems that parts of the audio dropped out. I analyzed the image file, and found that there were THREE DIFFERENT number 1 audios: AC3 2-ch Unspecified (1 MB in size), AC3 6-ch English normal (251 MB), and AC3 2-ch English normal (4 MB).
I'm playing in 2-ch stereo mode on my settop, and apparently the audio dropouts are due to the 6-ch audio. 6-ch French (215 MB, audio number 3) also drops audio at the same spots. The only consistent audio is the 2-ch Spanish normal (108 MB, audio number 2).
How do I strip off the 6-ch English, convert it to 2-ch, and re-integrate it into the movie as the ONLY audio number 1? Thanks.
