Hi - I have a couple of issues that have forced me down the WinDVD path... (don't get me started!) Anyway, I've downloaded the trial version of WinDVD Platinum 5, and it works OK (just seems a crappier interface to v4) but in my desire to not have to keep shelling out for registration (I have honest versions of PowerDVD and WinDVD 4 already - again, don't get me started...!) I also got myself a keygen which nicely activates the product. However, when activated in this way I end up with no audio, and I can't figure this out. Obviously, drivers etc are still there (other applications play sound) so I think it has something to do with this method of activation. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks!

Yes, it has. Reactivate it then from one of the drop-down menus choose Dolby sound or whatever you want!Last edited by count-usb; 6 Jan 2004, 02:11 AM. -
HI - thanks for the update. Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere where I would choose e.g. Dolby. When right-clicking to get to the pull-down menus, the Audio menu is not available, and the Setup menu has very limited audio functionality that is correctly set anyway. Any other ideas? Thanks!Comment

Your keygen should give you the option, run it again. And look at the dropdown menus..I do not think I will be allowed to go into more detail in this forum. Do you have an email address that I can contact you at?Comment
