Iwould suggest to contact the dvd vendor from where you bought it.

Return it and get a region free standalone.

Do the following using the remote (I assume the player is the 1002W):

Press "Open/Close" (leaving drawer open)

Press "Clear"

Press 1 3 6 9 0

Press "Open/Close" (closing drawer)

I did not say that i told you contact your vendor and tell him about the thing.Remember this is not a defect or problem with your player I'm only telling you to contact your vendor, perhaps will give u useful feedback.
